An Orthopaedic Surgeon

Working with Michael Breitman had a significant impact on the growth of my orthopedic surgery practice. As a specialist in knee and hip replacements, I wanted to expand my reach while maintaining a high level of patient care. Michael introduced me to the ActionCOACH Business Chassis — also known as the 5-Way Formula — and helped me apply it in practical, targeted ways.

We focused on the two primary sources of referrals: happy patients and referring physicians. With Michael’s guidance, and in collaboration with my practice manager, we made it easier for satisfied patients to refer others, and we developed a new brochure specifically for physicians who might refer patients to our practice. Both strategies were enhanced by an revising and consistently following a gratitude procedure expressing our thanks to referring patients and doctors.

 

The results were remarkable. My monthly average for joint replacement procedures increased from 9 to 14 — a growth of over 55%.
